Affiliations
The Foundation has no hidden agenda and is not affiliated in any way with any outside or pre-existing organizations. Our preference is for un-biased, non-sectarian education. There is no need for any student to know or be presented with a teacher’s religious or political affiliations, or personal persuasions. A personal projection of righteousness and moral certainty is unnecessary to teach young people and may well detract from the subject matter or be insulting to those with differing beliefs.
We lean toward programs and curricula that encourage the teacher to bring into the classroom as many differing practices and customs as is possible to demonstrate the wide variety of enriching and positive experiences life has to offer.
Discrimination
No funding request to the Foundation will be considered where there exists a discriminatory rationale or practice on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, disability, marital status, political affiliation or sexual orientation and gender expression.
Who We Support
We support programming and teachers that are tolerant and allow for differing standards of etiquette and behavior, the so-called “norms” of society, to vary from community to community and family to family. At the same time, there are fantastic amounts of material from which to judiciously select the “universal” lessons we believe all children should know. These are to help them think independently and to help them design and create their own lives.
